Hear from our happy clients!

Lindsey was our doula in November of 2018. By some miracle and great friends, we were blessed to have Lindsey by our side through the birthing process. Lindsey is kind, she is gentle and all around amazing. She made sure all my needs were met, She was my voice when I couldn’t speak, and the push where my husband needed it. She gave me courage to keep going, and she gave my husband confidence when he wasn’t sure what to do next. Lindsey was an absolute blessing for our family, and through her help, her kind heart, she helped us welcome our 9 pound 8 ounce son into the world. Thank you so much Lindsey, you are an absolute gem, and we can only wish that we could have you around for our next one!

Hiring Kayla as my postpartum doula was one of the best decisions I could have made for my ENTIRE family. After having my reverse episiotomy surgery at 3 months postpartum, I needed more help than ever. Kayla came over every morning for a few hours and she helped make food, clean, take care of my boys and manage the house so that I could sleep or have a bath or just take time to myself. She made me feel comfortable, it wasn’t awkward at all. I liked that she wasn’t constantly asking me “what I wanted her to do.” In fact she never had to ask me because she just knew. I think it was really helpful that Kayla is a mom of two because she can relate. Kayla is kind, respectful, easy to get along with, down to earth and hard working. I recommend her to any and all people who need help postpartum!

Hiring Lindsey as our birth doula was absolutely one of the best decisions we made. Both my husband and I felt confident going into our son’s birth as we had met with Lindsey beforehand and made a plan. She suggested different readings to do so we could better educate ourselves on the process and our choices. When the big day came (well it was a couple days, hah!), it was so great to have Lindsey by my side. She helped me try different positions and was there the whole time, advocating for the choices our family wanted to make. She reminded me that I was strong and helped keep me going when I didn’t know if I could. I know my husband appreciated having the support there as well. She included him in the process and I felt so supported by him as well - he even got a nap in while Lindsey stayed with me and I laboured in the tub. We ended up with a birth much different than expected but I felt (and still feel) calm and at peace with what happened because we had talked through everything with Lindsey in advance. Her positive, relaxed, and supportive attitude helped my family immensely and I will 100% have her come back if and when there’s another baby to be born. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Lindsey - you are amazing!

As a fourth-time mama, I can’t think of anyone as well-equipped and thoughtful as Kayla when it comes to supporting people transition into their role(s) as parents. Kayla has an exceptional gift when it comes to listening to and understanding the needs of parents, and transforming these needs into actions as a postpartum doula in helping parents juggle new tasks as a family and even thinking ahead in offering tools, helpful goodies, and resources that families need during the weeks following the birth of their little ones. Kayla’s backgrounds in science, being a U of S parent advocate, and being a parent herself balance beautifully with the holistic approach of her services. Furthermore, her extensive network of community, family, and health-related resources are assets to any family wanting to expand their support and social networks, or those seeking postpartum/baby/family health options. I can’t recommend Kayla enough as a perfect fit in being an outstanding postpartum doula for families welcoming a baby!

“I found the Preparing for Postpartum workshop very informative and a good chance to learn about some aspects of postpartum life I hadn’t considered. The class offered guidance in how to structure my new life once baby came and gave me some contacts in the community in case I needed to reach out. It left me feeling well educated, supported, and looking forward to the new chapter in my life.

My wife met with Kayla a couple of weeks before she had my daughter, and had brought a lot of information/resources for my wife to review in order to prepare. Kayla was so friendly, positive and kind throughout the entire meeting. She made my wife feel so at ease, and answered all of her questions with no hesitation. Thank you Kayla. We would highly recommend her.
